Noted that most people in this forum has been recommending or using Meguiars. However, choices are limited here in Penang as compared to KL. Can't find it at the auto shop here in Penang. At the most, I can only get Turtle brand car care products at Jusco at Queensbay Mall. Anyone here in Penang uses Meguiars? Anyhow these are the Turtle brand products I'm using.
1) Turtle F21 Super Car Wash Easy to wash without stripping car wax. Soapy feeling & nice smell too.
2) Turtle ICE Liquid Clay Bar Have not clayed my car before (even from my the other car). Since some folks have recommending claying of cars, I clayed my car after washing. Can see the difference. However, managed to find only Turtle ICE Liquid Clay Bar at Jusco Queensbay Mall. Any used this Liquid Clay Bar before?
3) Turtle F21 Car Polish
4) Turtle Platinum Ultra Gloss Liquid Wax Easy to apply & wipe off compared to my earlier wax (Turtle Super Hard Shell Car Wax) used which produced white residue.
5) Turtle F21 Super Protectant Used on dashboard, plastic & rubber areas of the car. Result? Shines with high gloss. Used on tyres as well.

you can actually refer to my thread on the DIY meguires.... i'm not sure where you can get in Penang...but if you want, i can help u get it from KL and deliver it to penang.
For Turtle brand...basically i have tested their rims cleaner....very good...have not tested other products from turtle
but i think at the end of the day...its how you do it as well... mind posting pix of ur ride for before and after results?

well its hard to say whether u have better products out there or not but for sure meguires gave me the results i wanted i dare not say there is no other good stuffs out there alot also depens on the technique and skills the tools for it is only 50% just like pro detailer versus a beginner like me.....definitely they do better than me even if we use the same tools and brand

Same goes for me here, it's just that I've used other brands for my other car previously. Just that Turtle gives me the result I wanted so now I just stick with Turtle. Maybe haven't tried Meguires yet. I'm more into the result of the product. Anyhow, Turtle has this ICE range of products. Haven't tried before. Maybe will try out the Meguires once my Turtle stocks finished.

Im bought few wax from turtle platinum, Meguires, soft 99 platinum and some 'look cangih' brands, result show Meguires won, soft 99 platinum then only turtle wax platinum. is not the most expensive is best, i remember last time i bought 'TOTO' donno from where, meddle range price but 1st class result. can't find in market already. my store full of this product. my last step is apply sealant to pro-long the wax surface, its work perfectly and when raining, u will proud of your hard work for bout 10+- weeks.

Guys, read another forum where someone mentioned that waxing is a waste of time coa wax, being wax would 'melt' under the hot sun. So 'no protection' for your car's paint at all. Is this true?

I just DIY for 2-3 months once. But most important, park your car under the garrage day and night and wash it regularly with just water (2 buckets of water; 1 for removing dirt and 1 for washing the sponge)and once a week with car shampoo. Your car will be shining all year round.

really ? the sealant is apply after wax, to protect the wax surface ma.... i spend extra RM150 for the sealant itself last time after my 3 layer + full package in a pro shop. normally wax can last for 3 ~ 4 weeks max, but after sealant it last for 3 months, but the shop said 6 months la. thats what i learn from them and apply untill now....
