Can I have some of the SC in Penang, just want to have 2nd opinion instead of keep sending my car to Ceragam....
and also those aircond service centre...

i know there is another shop in seberang jaya near careffour too, but i havent tried him before.
i was told that ah hui has techII too...

Yes, Hui has a tech 2. But he is a known slob. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Had bad experiences with him, stiffing off appointments and stuff (besides having a long list of cars and understaffed as hell)
Oil change is a very basic and simple thing that every mechanic should know. It's like dispensing paracetamol for low fever - any doctor can do it.
Same thing. If it's only oil change - any tire shop would be glad to do it for a fee of 8 bucks, if you use your own oil and oil filter.

There is one in BM called Neon Auto Garage or something like that (close to Summit) this mechanic was previously with ex-SC (Bagan Ajam branch), Shidi. I changed my timing belt at his workshop.

TechII usually needed when you having idling problem,ECU or when u changed your throttle body. Most of the time for normal services, you won't need it anyway. In that case any workshop can do the job. Its not complicated job to do an oil change for our car.

Hi, is your car under warranty? Cos if you send your car to other mechanics, it could invalidate your warranty. $$$ is one thing but you get the assurance of your car being handled by trained ppl at the SC. So far I thing there's only 1 SC at Sg Pinang. Anywhere else in Penang I missed out?

If still under warranty then just send to Cergazam, else normal workshop should able to handle our optra. It's not what sophisticated car like Merz or BMW where normal workshop cant do. Normal oil change or service, most workshop would do. |

i'm sure there are many chevy owners in penang. apart from ah hui in sg dua (refer to michael ooi's comments) and the one in BM plus cergazam SC, does anyone else know of any reputable mechanic in pg island ? my 60K service is up on my optra 1.8 and i prefer not to get slaughtered by cergazam......pls share as i believe those who bought in 2007/08 timeframe are due for their major svc....

i don't mind going to prai to get my car worked on so long as the guy is proficient and charges reasonably. as for ah hui in sg dua and this guy ah heng anyone else care to share their experience with these guys ? positive and negative comments are most welcome.....
